Vintage Santa Marta Poporo Stone Carving: Indigenous Lime Container Keepsake Description: This antique keepsake from Santa Marta, Colombia, showcases a stone carving resembling a “poporo” – a lime container traditionally used in indigenous ceremonies. Crafted from a singular piece of stone, it stands at 3-1/4″ high and 1-3/8″ wide at its base. The words “Santa Marta, Colombia” are gracefully etched in the centerpiece of the memento. It is believed to date back to the 1950s or earlier. *Kindly note that this keepsake is a reproduction of a lime container, crafted from a single, unbroken piece of stone.
