Vintage Vernon Kilns MONTEREY 12″ Chop Plate / Platter Hand Painted READ. Has tiny brown pit mark shown in images There are two variations of this Chop Plate/Platter(see last image) this platter is “TYPE 1” *Type 1 has smaller lighter color leaf pattern, plate underglaze white color rim around base. *Type 2 has a larger darker color pattern and the plate underglaze has a yellow tint to it, base has no rim. Platter shown is actual item shipped minimal wear. The Monterey pattern was produced by Vernon Kilns in California from 1942 to 1954. Pieces feature the iconic hand painted maroon and blue leaf pattern. The shape of these dishes is called “Melinda” which was used for various Vernon Kilns patterns. Condition: *Items areVery Good condition for their age (70+ years old) *There are No Chips No Cracks No Repairs No Stains No Crazing unless otherwise noted *They will have light scratches and or utensil/knife marks *These were hand painted and fired in a kiln, there will be 3 – 4 spots on the bottom which are from the item sitting on a kiln stand *There will also be variations in pattern and color because of their hand painted nature *If multiple items/sets are available they will all be in similar condition to those pictured Shipping: Combined shipping is offered on all purchases and calculated during checkout.
