19 Colonial-Living with Paul Revere_ Full Color Instruction Posters from 1958-68

Offered are two sets of board posters focusing on the Colonial Period. One is titled “Colonial Living with Paul Revere”. I call the other set “Leaders.” The “Leaders” are 11″x14” and “Colonial Living with Paul Revere” posters are 11″x13”. Each poster has a graphic on one side and information (text) on the back. All 4 corners of each poster have a small hole through which one can push pins to attach to a wall or bulletin board, or to put a thin string through for hanging. The set of “Colonial Living with Paul Revere” (copyright 1958) should have 12 different posters, BUT poster #2 is missing and for unknown reasons there are two copies of #10. I present this series as containing 11 posters. Main topics are: Paul Revere’s Birthplace, Ship Building In Boston, The Liberty Tree, North Square Market, Boston Harbor, The Town Meeting, Old North Church, The Print Shop, Paul Revere’s Ride (this is the duplicated poster #10, see Picture 7), Retreat From Concord, and the Launching of the “Clermont.” The set of “Leaders” (copyright 1968) consists of 8 posters: George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, James Madison, Samuel Adams, Alexander Hamilton and John Marshall. Pictures 4 and 8 show examples of the text on the backs of the respective poster sets. All were published by Audio-Visual Enterprises, with Text written by Los Angeles County Museum personnel. All are in very good condition with some slight edge wear (George Washington shows some paper loss along the top edge.) The backs show some darkening/yellowing but are otherwise clean. All the posters are in an original Colonial Living with Paul Revere folder with a previous owner’s name on the label. This original string-close folder has some staining on one end, and splits starting from two different corners, but it works fine and doesn’t affect the important parts, the posters, in any way. Books will be listed, plus toys including CCG and trading cards, fabric/wallpaper sample books, jigsaw puzzles, jewelry, household items and maybe some of my fishing and workshop stuff.
